Apa ki te Rā Tōtanga
Thank you to everyone who made the whānau day a great success this year and for those who participated in the tuna harvesting wānanga at Rotoroa, everyone really enjoyed watching the short tuna film and tasting the delicious tuna during the hākari.
Also a big mihi to everyone who attended the whānau sports day it looked like everyone enjoyed themselves. It was great to see our young and ‘young at heart’ take to the sports field. Special thanks to our artists Fayne Robinson, Margaret Bond and Caleb Robinson for providing an insight into Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō art.
Also acknowledgements to our Mana Rangatahi participants who welcomed the whānau in for the hākari.
Te Reo Māori Starter Pack
As part of our Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori promotions we made available a te reo Māori pack for whānau and we were inundated with over 70 whānau requesting the packs. This is great and shows that whānau a really keen to develop their te reo Māori. However it does mean that we have had to reorder some of the books so please be patient in receiving your pack.
