Education and Training

The Computers in Homes project will see another Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō member graduate in early July.

Education and Training

Jodie Palatchie completed the 10 week course and found it very useful. Of particular interest was learning about how to keep tamariki safe online. Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō continues to offer assistance to participate in this great opportunity. We encourage members to contact Computers in Homes in their area for information about eligibility. You get a free desktop computer on completion.

Click here to go to their website, or if you live in the Marlborough area phone the Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō Office on 0800 578 900.

Literacy & Numeracy classes are also continuing weekly and we encourage employers to join the programme, which is offered in partnership with Workforce Development Limited. Education and creating better opportunities for our members is part of our Whakahiatu Ora Tipu - Social Development Plan and upskilling your literacy and numeracy skills can be a path to better opportunities for you and your whānau. If you are an employer, or know of an employer that may be interested in the programme please phone the office.

Registrations have been steadily coming in from the web site. At present our total registrations sit at 2675. At present 15 new registrations have been confirmed with another 6 applications currently being processed. We encourage existing members to speak to whānau who may have not yet registered with us.

You can now update your details directly from the website registration page, so if you’ve moved make sure to let us know your new address.
