Applications for Wave Eight funding for Whānau Ora initiatives are officially open. This is a great opportunity to put forward ideas that will make a positive difference to whānau wellbeing. To qualify, initiatives should be whānau-centred, financially viable, strengths-based, locally-owned and intergenerational in their scope, and most of all be innovative in their approach to the collective aspirations of whānau. Interested in a career in journalism?
The Henare te Ua Māori Journalism Internship is a paid 12-month position at Radio NZ for a Māori graduate who is passionate about journalism, with strong te reo knowledge, who is able to assist in reflecting and reporting issues of significance to Te Ao Māori. The internship is aimed at attracting a Māori graduate who is passionate about journalism and possesses a relevant qualification from a recognised New Zealand training institution. However, RNZ will consider applicants who do not possess a qualification but someone who wants to practice the craft of journalism and tell stories that explore and reflect Te Ao Māori.
