Jordan Beck was among the 23 recipients awarded Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō Trust Education Grant in the 2018 round.
Kia ora, I am Jordan Beck, I am 20 years of age and as of 2019 I am a second-year student at the University of Otago’s Dunedin campus.
I was born in Blenheim, however I was raised in Balclutha for 13 years. My Great-Grandfather is Dave “Rewi” MacDonald.
I’m currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, otherwise known as a PPE for short. My minor is English, and I expect to graduate university at the end of 2020.
Once I graduate, I plan on working either in politics, within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, or in an economics-related career. After I finished high school, I took a gap year and worked, which helped pay for my accommodation during my first year of university.
Ngā mihi
