Supporting whānau

Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō staff – and their whānau – were on the ground during Alert Level 4 delivering care packages to whānau.

Alongside check-in calls to all whānau on the register, special permission was granted to enable deliveries to whānau.

All up, around 80 boxes were sorted and delivered. A big mihi to Te Pūtahitanga o te Waipounamu for the koha.

Kaumātua were also not left behind, with a one-off special grant made to help ease the burden of lockdown.
