Ipukarea 2025

Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō whānau are invited to join our team for Te Ipukarea on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 April at Saxton Field, Stoke, Nelson.

Te Ipukarea is an annual sporting tournament that brings together all eight Te Tauihu iwi for a weekend of friendly yet spirited competition. The event caters to all ages, from tamariki to kaumātua, with a variety of sports on offer.

The tournament will be hosted by Ngāti Tama. It begins on Friday 4 April with a pōwhiri at Whakatū Marae and concludes on Saturday evening with a hākari and the handover of the mauri.

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with whānau and represent our iwi.
